WE MADE IT!

129 days and 7,579 miles since setting out from Ushuaia, our Toe2Top journey came to a magical end on the streets of Cartagena on the 3rd June 2019.

We are still struggling to believe its all over and that we really did do it - we cycled the length of South America!!

Our long journey North has been the best four months of our lives and despite the hardships, there have been far more highs and so many days when we have felt like the luckiest people alive.

From being blown away by the pure beauty of the Patagonian glaciers, flying high up in the Andes for the first time, teleported to a new planet on the Salar de Uyuni, the sighting of so many mountains, llamas, volcanoes, parrots, wild horses, never ending fields of quinoa and meeting some of the kindest people in the world, it really was the trip of a lifetime.

Above all else, the final few donations have tipped us over £30,000 including gift aid! To double our target has completely blown us away. The tangible difference the money will make is huge and to have something so positive come out of this trip means the world to both of us.

Thank you so much to everyone who donated and supported us the whole way. There were some extremely bleak times and to have a small army behind us the whole way made all the difference in the world!

On the 24th January 2019, Toe2Top will embark on the journey of a lifetime, swapping London life for the wilderness of Patagonia.

The objective is simple enough, to cycle 8,000 unsupported miles, from Ushuaia in Argentina to Cartagena in Colombia, as quickly we can.

However, throw in 60mph headwinds, huge fluctuations in temperature and altitude, 40 kilograms of kit and the world's longest mountain range - the picture looks completely different!

It has long been a dream of both of ours to take on a challenge of this scale, although the closer the departure date of 24th January looms, the more and more we are questioning the decision we made almost a year ago. What will keep us going during the bleaker times is the money we are raising for our FOUR CHARITIES. We are hoping to raise £15,000 for the below worthy causes.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and we will do the best to keep it updated whilst on the Road, although our tracker should be live nearly all the time.

The challenge we have set ourselves is  undoubtedly a gargantuan task! We will be cycling 8,000 miles completely unsupported up the longest mountain range in the world in roughly four and a half months.

An insanely long way and an equally mind-boggling amount of time spent on a bike and in a tent.

To put this into context, when we finally run headfirst into the Caribbean Sea in Northern Colombia we will have effectively cycled a 1/3 of the way around the equator, the equivalent of Land’s End to John O’Groats 9 times, or Twickenham’s dead ball line to dead ball line 102,998 times!
